Calgary, AB – March 25, 2013 – Responding to demand for secure ticketing for event and activity reservations, World Web Technologies Inc. has announced the inclusion of QR codes on printable tickets issued directly fromWebRezPro™ Cloud Hotel PMS in conjunction with ActivityEngine™, preventing single-use tickets from being redeemed more than once.
The QR code ticketing feature is available with WebRezPro’s ActivityEngine module—which equips the PMS with integrated activity reservations—or with ActivityEngine tour operator software as a stand-alone product.
When ActivityEngine (or WebRezPro with ActivityEngine integration) sends a booking confirmation email to the customer, a Web link is included that will take the customer to a Web page containing a printable ticket with a unique QR code generated by the ActivityEngine software. When the ticket is redeemed, the QR code allows the ticket to be validated and tracked using a QR code scanning app on a smartphone or other mobile device equipped with a camera and Internet access.
